'Recorrer todo el camino para llegar' = To travel the whole distance to arrive at the destination. Es un modismo. Cuando se dice 'recorrer camino' eso no se refiere a un camino particular, por eso el articulo no es necesario.
This may also be used a a metaphoric way to say that you have a long way to go to reach a goal .
For example:
"Tienes un largo camino que recorrer si quieres ser un buen abogado"=> you have a long way to go if you want to became a good lawyer.
"to travel through" and "path", but shouldnt there be an article? like "recorrer el camino" or even "recorrer por el camino"? I thought maybe this was an idiom
