How in the world do you roll your r's. I was told to put the tongue on/ close the roof of your mouth and blow but it doesnt work, Ive been trying for months.

One thing you mighht do is when you want to pronounce the "rr", think of "Drr" instead. This naturally positions your tongue behind your upper teeth in an oclusive position. I find that it is much easier to get that trilled sound that way.

Really, it will be hard to tell you. You really have to practice with an actual person. Like for me its easy....but I know it from my youth. For my husband (who is an adult learner), he cant do it at all. Its something that really takes a retraining of the tongue and lips to achieve a native tone. But sometimes to fake it really quick though, you can make a "d" sound to get a role of a more natural sound. Like for instance: "Cahd-dho" for "Carro". Hope that helps smile

For me it feels as if i press the underside of the tip of my tongue against the roof of my mouth, trapping an air pocket against the roof of my mouth. Then i force that pocket forward to rapidly flicker the tip of my tongue. It takes a lot of practice for native english speakers. You can do it though!

Try cupping your tongue against the top of your mouth, and then pull the tip backwards. After that try saying a word that has RR by keeping your tongue in place.
