my presumption???

my presumption???

it is very evident, even as a beginner, that Spanish is a language of communication AND English has become a language of expression. Soooooooo is this difference causing problems with understanding meanings/intent of phrases or sentences??? Also, does this contribute to a misunderstanding verb conjugation within the context of what is said??? Thank you for any & all responses.

I disagree. I would reverse your assertion to say that Spanish is the language of expression, and English of communication. It could just be that expression and communication need to be defined themselves. I view expression, as more intuitive, and emotional. Communication as more utilitarian.

Just my toughts. Provocative question though. Thanks!

I would agree with Don Jose. Spanish is much more intricate in its verb structure, which allows it to express things that are difficult in English.
