Atrevete basically means "I dare you"
Oh, i love that song.
Its about a smart girl (or smart girls in general) who don't really express themselves, and keep it covered up.
He's telling her to just let go and have fun, not to worry about academics all the time... he's saying she's hot, and that she's a woman, like an Amazon and that she should just show her stuff... he's daring her to have funa nd to give him a chance, basically. To come out of her restrictive closet.
Atrevete te te te salte al closete...levantate ponte hyper...get up get hype! he is just talking about a bold girl and just really talking nonsense the whole song. he says she has a intellectual cara and serious face. its really funny like he says...subete la mini falda, hasta la espalda...pull up your skirt up to your back...he is hitting on a chick..thats basically the whole song, but it is really funny..he also says esto es facil, que importa si te gusta greenday, que importa si te gusta coldplay...basically who cares what type of music you like..idk..its just a cool song. lol
Atrevete= Be bold.
Calle 13 takes ATREVETE word in a context to HAVE COURAGE TO GET OUT OF THE ORDINARY, LEAVING THE CONVENTIONAL THINGS.
They use a lot of spanish slang words too, but it's very funny.
Hi Samanatha,
I don't know the song but "atrévete" means "dare" or "dare to", in the imperative.
