Spanish listening exam tips

Hey, Im about to take my spanish listening exam and the listening is my worst because i find they speak far to quickly for me to pick up any information. Ive been listening to spanish clips and revising tenses but does anyone have any other advice for me as i really need to pass this exam. Does anyone have any websites that stream spanish TV or Music as this would be helpful as well.

Gracias!

From experience I can tell you that it's very helpful to try and NOT get every word, but rather, listen for the words that you already know. In other words, get the gist of the conversation rather than each individual word.

For example:

La guerra nuclear ....blah blah blah...protestantes......blah blah blah.....contra.....orginizaron ayer.....

Here you can write on the test that it was about nuclear war, a bunch of protesters against it organized yesterday, etc.

Mariana gave you good advise. I would just add try to relax and let the words flow through your head without "thinking" about them. If your vocabulary is strong enough you will get more than you think.

This is a general test taking strategy for comprehension, reading or listening. If the answers are fill in the blank or multiple choice, read the questions BEFORE reading or listening to the text.
