Is ellos used correctly in this sentence?

Quiero que esta práctica laboral porque quiero ver todos los diferentes tipos de trabajo los médicos que hacen y veo si voy a disfrutar de ellos.

Does this sentence make sense and have I used the word ellos correctly?

I am trying to say: I want this internship because I want to see all the different types of work the doctors do and see if I will enjoy them.

In this case, you would need to employ reflexives.

Toward the end of your sentence, you want to say: "... I want to see all the different types of work the doctors do and [I want to] see if I will enjoy it [use it instead of "them," as you are trying to see if you enjoy the work, not the doctors... but that is an assumption of mine.]

What you need to do is say, "...ver si yo *lo disfrutaré."

I put disfrutar in future tense because you want to see (present) if you will enjoy (future) it.

And lo disfrutaré indicates "will enjoy it."

So, simply put, your sentence should say:

"Quiero (o usa deseo para una palabra diferente) esta internado porque quiero ver todos los diferentes tipos de trabajo de los médicos, y ver si lo disfrutaré."

****Also, internship has a translation, even though, at least, in Spain, the idea of an internship is not the same as in the U.S. - Internado I placed it in your sentence.

his "ellos" and your "lo" are referring to the different types of work so wouldn't it be "los disfrutaré" as the types of work are many, thus plural? - gringojrf, Mar 26, 2012
