I need to warm my hands.

Question

What is the proper way to say, "I need to warm my hands?" I know that in Spanish, personal articles and body parts do not use the possessive pronouns, but how do you know that "Necesito calentar las manos" means my hands and not your hands? Would you use acalentar as a reflexive verb, like "Necesito calentarse las manos"?

I'm confused!

Eso correcto. Yo diría: "Debo calentarme las manos" o "Tengo que calentarme las manos". La terminación "me" indica que me refiero a mis manos. - -cae-, Mar 17, 2012
