Teaching a Spanish enrichment class

Question

What do you think is the most important things to understand after 3 nine weeks of Spanish? My enrichment is not an "official" class (I am the band teacher). I am using this to guide my instruction since I have no materials. What is not included in the 1st section that you think is important to understand when a student gets to the first high school Spanish class?

Ive taken Spanish 1 and French 1 in High school.

Both classes introduced the language in this order..

1st lesson) Hello, my name is... 2nd) Im from..... 3rd) I am (age) 4th) an in-depth analysis on the verb "To have" 5th) Analysis on the verb for "to like" 6th) Combining the above learned into a paragraph (Hello, Im...Im from...and I like to....)

That was pretty much the flow of things when I took French, and didnt like it..then took Spanish and loved it.
