"¡cataplán!"
I'm trying to translate this word - no luck with any dictionaries or FAQs. Think it could be a 'slang' expression or a word used by young people. Thanks

It is an onomatopoeia...
This one is a "falling sound"... (or the sound that is made when someone hits something.) For example:
"Estaba subiendo las escaleras y ¡CATAPLÁN! Me tropecé y me caí"
"I was going upstairs and... ____________? I tripped over the stais and I fell down"

It's probably a plan in catalán...
Without context it's an impossible task.
