How to say "Please don't let the door slam" in Spanish?

Question

I'm making a sign for my workplace. It needs to say "Please don't let the door slam" in Spanish. It has to look like this because the door is self-closing but sometimes the wind catches it when it is opened. So we don't want to let it slam shut.

Una opcion es: "Por favor no tire la puerta" otra opcion "Por favor no tirar la puerta" , pero debido a lo que quieres seria mejor "Por favor Cierre la puerta" porque el objetivo es evitar que el viento la tire, que no la este tirando. - PirateNic77, Oct 26, 2012

@Malenor Actually, as @PirateNic77 says "Por favor Cierre la puerta" would be the bets option for this sign, because the translation for "Please don't let the door slam" is "No azotar la puerta" and the objective is to avoid the door be caught by the wind - Raoul_B, Oct 29, 2012

This is a hesitant offering, the imperative is needed.

Cerrar de golpe is to slam shut, anyway.

• ¡Por favor, no azotes la puerta! = Please don't slam the door.

Thanks for the additional answers. I chose to go with the sign saying "no deja que cerrar de golpe" a few months ago and every Spanish person on the job understood it. I realize that the "azotar" form would have worked just as well. But after hanging the sign the guys were being really gentle with the door even when the wind wasn't blowing at all, letting it shut to within an inch or two of the doorframe before releasing it.
