How do you say please turn that down

Nunca voy a preguntarle si se casa conmigo porque sé que ella me rechazaría. = I am never going to ask her if she will marry me, I know she will turn me down. In other words she will reject me..You can't use rechazar to say lower the volume you use bajar. My phrase by the way is a line from a Don Williams song "I'm just a country boy"
