ps. did my attempt make any sense? - twistandshout, Mar 11, 2012

would it not be "se lo tolera" (one tolerates it), or do you not need the d/o pronoun? - BradyLabuda, Mar 11, 2012

Hey Twisty! As for your initial attempt, I would say it came off a bit clunky (sorry, I'm sure there is a better word!)... Here is one translator to convey its approximate meaning:

I sussed out you figured the dejo la mujer, right? Should be dijo... the former is saying something like: the woman permitted or allowed, or even left, as in she left somthing for someone to pick up... hope that helps! smile

haha yes that does sound very 'clunky' - I think the tense in English throw me off a bit and I made it more difficult for myself - twistandshout, Mar 11, 2012
Thank you :D - twistandshout, Mar 11, 2012
Interestingly, *dejo* is also a Spanish noun meaning "aftertaste" => tiene un dejo raro...it has an odd aftertaste :) - cristalino, Mar 11, 2012
