Why are some languages written from right to left?

It's a good question ..and I think that comes from the way that we write the letter for example :Arabic letters is written from write to left so the words should be in the same direction .. and Vice versa .like ????? means (hello in English or hola in spañol) and you can speak it like Marhaba.
