I agree with Mariana's example with "¿Cómo está el cuello?".

I believe you could also say:

  • ¿Qué tal el/tu cuello?

  • ¿Cómo sientes el cuello? - found examples similar to this in a search (in context). Maybe the writers or authors have bad grammar, or maybe it's a valid option.

"bad grammar or valid option" That's what I'm trying to figure out too. ;) - ciscocaja, Mar 10, 2012

"¿Cómo sientes el cuello?" me suena un poco rara, aunque está bien gramaticalmente. Sin duda, prefiero "¿Qué tal el/tu cuello?" :) - Cordobesa, Mar 11, 2012
Gracias, Cordobesa! :) - ciscocaja, Mar 11, 2012
Thanx, Cordo. Supongo que solo se lo usa en ciertos países o áreas...no sé. Me parece extraño también, pero encontré mucha gente (por internet ;) ) que usaron esta construcción.. - Goldie_Miel, Mar 11, 2012

I was a little confused about the "rhyme what with not" but then realized it's your accent! jejejee... But now, I probably won't ever forget the rule that rhymes for Kiwi but not for me... jejeje - katydew, Mar 11, 2012
Thanks for posting the link, but 2 of 3 examples they give with SENTIR use adjectives when it says use nouns with sentir.... - salevene, Mar 11, 2012

You would say "¿Cómo está el cuello?"

Example of "sentir" = Lo siento

Example of "sentirse" = me siento enferma hoy

Would "¿Cómo siente el cuello?" be appropriate? - ciscocaja, Mar 10, 2012
No, ciscocaja, I don't think that works. - annierats, May 6, 2012

I thought SENTIRSE is used to describe a feeling in the body, like a pain?

In Kiwi_Girl'l link they say: Siento mucho dolor en el estomago.

I would have said: Me siento mucho dolor en el estomago.

If that is true, why wouldn't it be?

Como te sientes el cuello?

it just sounds odd. Tengo dolor del estomago sounds natural. - annierats, May 6, 2012
