It means 'perhaps I get excited too easily' or 'perhaps I get my hopes up too much' (you get the drift - check the verb 'ilusionar' for nuances of meaning.)
It is also possible that you have missed an accent (ilusioné) in which case it would be preterite tense: 'perhaps I got my hopes up too much'.
