I'm looking for public domain pictures for language teaching.

Question

I volunteer with a non-profit organization that helps immigrants learn English. I would like to use a lot of pictures for visual aids. Are the pictures that Paralee uses in the Learn Spanish lessons in the public domain? Some of them look very familiar to me.

I know that there are a variety of public domain image collections on the internet, but it can take a long time to find good pictures for specific purposes. Can anyone point me to a good source for pictures for teaching English?
