Hi Iana

Está para chuparse los dedos = It's finger licking good! (english expression)

Variantes (other options) about "Está para chuparse los dedos" with the same meaning:

Está delicioso.! ..... It's delicious!

Está de rechupete.!.....It's yummy!

Está riquísimo!......It's delicious! / It's yummy! ... (In this context: just about meal) Está buenísimo!....It's delicious! / It's yummy! ... (In this context: just about meal)

Está para repetirse!....... It's to be repeated! (not common, but it means that meal is really good)

The literal translation into english, it doesn't make sense I guess...

Hasta Pronto..!

Chuparse los dedos = literally to suck the fingers = figuratively to lick your fingers. So annierats is right 'It os finger-licking good!".

¡Esto está para chuparse los dedos!.....¡Si, una comida deliciosa! or, ¡Si, esta comida está deliciosa!

  • English = This is yummy! ... Yes, a delicious meal! or Yes, this food is delicious!
  • You wrote = Si una comida está deliciosa" This sentence does not make sense, its structure is incorrect. See the examples above.

Hi farallon7...!!! I think the sentence "Si una comida está deliciosa" it is correct because in the context in which Iana has written it would be "IF" the meal is delicious (conditional), Saludos..!!! - voyage_voyage, Mar 8, 2012
"Si una comida está deliciosa" is not correct . It should be, ¡Si, la comida está deliciosa! Una has no reason to be there and the comma is missing. - farallon7, Mar 11, 2012
