Hola, I attempted to translate this song chorus on my own and please correct me. Thank you.

The song is "In the air tonight" by Phill Collins.

Here's my attempt....wait for a native to tell you what sounds most natural in Spanish:

Puedo sentirlo llamando en el aire esta noche, ay Díos, y estaba esperando esto momento todo mi vida, ay Díos. Puedes sentirlo llamando en el aire esta noche, ay Díos, ay Díos....

(Él only takes an accent mark when you are talking about "him/he" and not as the definite article "the.")

I think the "I've been waiting" should be "he estado esperando" giving us this....

If you want to use the past perfect, which is probably the better choice, you'd say "He estado esperando" (from the verb "estar"). The "sido," would relate to the verb "ser" which doesn't fit here.

More people have done it, like this person who uploaded it to youtube.

If I had to translate it, I would also opt for díos instead of señor.
(But I do not like this song very much, neither Phil Collins nor Genesis. Sorrrrrrrrrry.)
