¿Más lentamente?

¿Más lentamente?

Yesterday in my dance class, I wanted the teacher to do the steps slower, so I asked:

"Puedes hacer los pies más lentamente?" And she asked me "Más qué?" And I said "Más lentamente."

I could have been just speaking quietly and she couldn´t hear me over the music, but I was wondering if I just spoke incorrectly or said it strangely. I figured since slowly was an adverb, the Spanish translation would also require an adverb, which is why I said "lentamente" instead of "lento."

I would say:

¿Puedes hacer los pasos más despacio (lentamente)?"

Yes, that seems very understandable, to me, anyway! - annierats, Mar 8, 2012

Enséñeme, paso a paso, muy lentamente.. Show me, step by step, very slowly. Just another suggestion.

Hi, Annie. Should there be an accent on "enséñame" to keep the stress? - --Mariana--, Mar 8, 2012
Yes, I make a lot of typos, Mariana, not to mention the mistakes.. Thanks! - annierats, Mar 8, 2012
