Nothing is more terrible than activity without insight.

Of course, it does depend on what it is you want to say.. - annierats, Mar 7, 2012
I disagree. Nothing wrong with foreplay.:) - 0054c8e6, Mar 7, 2012
This could become very interesting. - annierats, Mar 7, 2012
Oh dear ! You see i did not think this one through . I did not anticipate the direction it has taken , - ray76, Mar 7, 2012

Nothing is more terrible than activity without insight.

(or sin comprender algo. )

That's suggestions. I think your sentence could be misunderstood ( you know, look back to yesterdays problems with the libido etc..)

I think we just showed everyone our Freudian slips. ;) - ciscocaja, Mar 7, 2012
Unless it was Ray that had a slip-up? - annierats, Mar 7, 2012
I was just playing on "showed our slips". Of course, I include Ray in "we". But, I'm not positive that he didn't just bate the trap. - ciscocaja, Mar 7, 2012
No i would not do that , would I ? but i did not see the other one on libido , whatever that is . - ray76, Mar 7, 2012
Thanks for accepting this feble offering, ray. Good comments, ciscocaja. - annierats, Aug 20, 2012

The Spanish sentence seems to have some undertones. I don't know just what to think of it yet. I'll get back to you. jeje.

added:

I don't know how this would sound to the native ear, but it seems to touch on a couple of the possible meanings.

"Nada es más terrible que actividad sin sagacidad."

I take the English version almost as a lamentation of the lack of awareness of people as they perform their daily routines.

I believe the converse of that statement to be just as, if not more meaningful. Though, with an entirely different proverbial warning.

"Nothing is more terrible than insight without activity."

The way I understand it , most of us are procrastinators , or as we say here,

they are " gunners " they are gunner do this and gunner do that , in other words

we all see and understand the problem but stand aside whilst someone else

performs the action to provide the solution .

That is a quotation from " Thomas Carlyle " who I doubt was given to

double entendre. I merely want us to "think " and extend our understanding of

Spanish beyond . " como se dice G'day ."

Es necesaria a pensar y mirar de tus palabras antes de ponerlas en la caja, pero es una buena manera a iniciar debates interesantes.

Nada es peor que actividad sin una idea o una visión, pero si tienes esta en tu mente, entonces, puedes alcanzar tu objetivo.
