An open discussion of the existence of zombies is difficult because the term is perceived to be offensive by religious orthodoxy. Christ being the only one to be resurrected, of course. Still there are stories, some set in New Orleans, as well as Africa, which seem to be compelling. Put another way, how many of you believe the devil is an active agent who tries to subvert goodness on this Earth? Probably pretty many.
