El centro de clapham es bello ahora debido a hay mucho turismo y mucha cultura.

What does this mean and does it make sense?

Translation: "The Center of Clapham is beautiful now due to tourism and many cultures." The spanish sentence isn't correct with the word "hay" because the preceding word, "debido" states(almost) the same idea. - panverachica, Mar 6, 2012

I think "muchaS culturaS" would imply that there is a variety of cultures (i.e., people of different cultures) living in that city. To me, "mucha cultura" is just, generally-speaking, "culture/richness/etc." - Goldie_Miel, Mar 7, 2012

I'm not a native spanish speaker but this is how I translate it.

Clapham's center is beautiful now due to there are a lot of tourism and a lot culture.

However, I would write it like this...

El centro de clapham es bello ahora debido mucho turismo y muchas culturas.

My attempt at corrections:

El centro de Clapham es bello ahora debido a que hay mucho turismo y mucha cultura.

(maybe even "debido a haber mucho"/"due to there being a lot"...no estoy segura)

I would read this as: Clapham Mall/Center is beautiful due to the fact that there is a lot of tourism and culture. What were you trying to say?
