What is the difference between donde and adonde? Thanks!

¿A dónde vas? Where are you going? Está es la casa donde vivía cuando era joven. That is the house where I lived when I was young, adonde = to where translates to English as Where to, whereas donde on its own just means where.¿Dónde estás? where are you? and if the donde is interragative it takes the stress on the letter ó.

a donde= where to ( usually used for more specific locations) donde= where ( more informal and used for more vague answers)
