Which spelling is correct for orange and pink?
Please tell me why I sometimes see orange written in books as naranja and at other times it is naranjado. Also I find rosa and other times it is written as rosado.

Welcome to the forum!
"orange (the fruit)" = "naranja"
"orange (the color)" = "anaranjado" o "naranjado"
"pink" = "rosa" o "rosado" o "sonrosado"
English synonyms for pink include blush, coral, flush, fuchsia, rose, roseate, and salmon. Many synonyms have subtle differences. Often they are attached to multiple meanings. In some phrases one word may be more common, while in another phrase a different word is typically used to mean the same thing. Think "rose colored glasses" and "pink slip". They sound wrong if you use other similar adjectives.
I can't really give any good examples of when you should use which word in Spanish as I am not a native speaker. Sometimes it is purely a matter of style. Sometimes one way is preferred to the other, because it's just the way people say it.
"rosa" is generally used as a noun.
"rosado" is an adjective.
naranja > anaranjado
You can say naranjado, but would be better if you said "anaranjado" (with 'a')
