Rosetta Stone error
Hopefully some of you, like me, are using both Rosetta Stone and Spanish Dict to compliment the Spanish learning process.
I have just completed RS Latin American Spanish Level 2, Lesson 4.4.
In the lesson I noticed what I believe to be a gross mistake. Starting at frame 11, it seems that they are using "andar" and it's conjugations, instead of "montar".
Unless someone can explain why I am incorrect.

Andar is the all purpose verb for movement. They could eliminate caminar, montar and probably several others and just use andar.
The above is said just slightly tongue in cheek.
Andar, montar and even at times correr are used interchangeably, depending on your location. You will most likely find people from NW Spain using "andar", whereas in the Mexico you will probably find "montar" used more frequently. All depends on whom you are speaking with, but if they are a native speaker they will probably understand whichever word you choose to use. They might look at you funny, but they should understand.
Hi and welcome to the forum!
I think it depends on where you are. I have always heard "montar," however, take a look at these previous topics on SpanishDict:
