"rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
If one cannot trill the "r' how does one pronounce the word that requires the trill?

Just say it the way you would in English! We natives will understand you perfectly fine!
- You can practice the rrrr sound! Time will help. There are many little Spanish speaking kids that have the same problem when they are starting to speak. You can do it! Give it time! I have tought several of my adults friends to be able to do it! Be ready to enjoy a good laugh!
I couldn't do this sound at all a few weeks ago, but I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and they really helped me. Now I can make the sound pretty well, although it's not perfect. I practiced in my car every day for about two weeks so I wouldn't embarrass myself. The videos I found most useful were:

The last one is in Cantonese but has good diagrams. ¡Puedes hacerlo! ![]()
Not an answer to the question, but a big thankyou to those who responded. Enjoyed the you tube videos. Concesis seems to be that practice makes perfect. Not sure it will help in my case as I seem to have a plaster of paris cast on my tongue. Maybe age is a factor?
My tongue seems to be set in concrete. I'm afraid I will never be able to roll my r's. Will a native speaker understand the difference when I pronounce "pero" or "perro" ?
hi just roll your tounge it is easy btw can you answer my question?
