Caer gordo is like caer mal. (To dislike)

Me caes gordo. I don't like you.

I know this phrase is used in Mexico... I am not sure about other countries.

Meaning: to find a person unappealing

Example: ¿Qué piensas de Pedro? (What do you think of Pedro?)

Me cae gordo. (I don’t like him.)

Obviously it is the Spanish for saying you've fallen pregnant.

An accident that makes you fat, totally out of your own control.

It seems literally to say: "to drop" and "fat" ... would that not be "to lose" and "weight"?

ha, you'd think so, Lector! But this is a pretty common way of saying someone is unappealing to you, or you "don't like them." - RedLine55, Feb 29, 2012

Here's a start, I haven't heard the phrase but maybe that's because I live in the Balearics.
