Are any good ways to remember the español.

I'm working on this too. So far I have only come up with three words of advice. They are, "repetition, repetition, and repetition".

The more you listen, read, study, speak, and write it, the more of it will stick.

There is no substitute for learning through trauma. This is the way a word or phrase will get seared in your brain. The best way to get the most trauma and therefore the most learning is to live in a country where you have to use the language every day. It's sort of like being thrown overboard and learning to swim to keep from drowning. It's traumatic, but it works.

I can just repeat what ciscocaja said.

Especially in the beginning it can appear like a never ending task, because you will be stumbling over a huge pile of words, you will not know.

So the most useful advice is, at it was said repetition. But I would also say, that consistency in learning is a vital factor for success as well. Try to keep on learning regularly and you will see improvements within no time.

I watch spanish movies with english subtitles from Netflix.com and music videos from LoMasTv.com

Both are excellent ways to learn while enjoying the movies or music. They reinforce and help you remember what you learn here at SpanishDict. I'm not aware of any regular spanish TV stations that have english subtitles.

Great advice in all the above. To get the repetition that's been suggested, I try to read articles in El Mundo (on-line); watch Spanish TV (especially the news) and I just joined a Spanish conversation group.

this is not perfect advice but i was slow to cotton on to it.

lots of sentences*by no means all of them) first verb conjugated second verb the infinitive

i.e. ¿puedo hablar con maria? can I speak with maria? quiero ir a argentina. I want to go to argentina no vamos a terminar pronto. we are not going finish soon

another tip... para + infinitive

Quiero aprender español para poder hablar con mis amigos en España

i want to learn Spanish in order to be able to speak with my friends in Spain

you may all know all this but just thought Id share what I was slow picking up on. DOH! ;=)

I like to use the flashcards section of Spanishdict.com. I refer to my vocabulary book (Schaum's) for the correct translations to type in and work on the words a little everyday. I've found this has really helped strengthen my vocabulary. Hope this helps!
