Sorry, I didn't see your comment before. Verb (infinitive): acercar(se)... gerund: acercando(se)... so, you use (the action is taking place): acercándome (yo), acercándote (tú), acercándose (él/ella/ellos), acercándonos (nosotros)... - Cordobesa, Mar 5, 2012

Acercándonos: Comes from the verb "Acercar" = To get close to, to bring close to, to approach. In this case is to approach.
- The termination or ending ...ndonos, tells you who is doing the action here. We, us, "Nosotros estamos acercándonos a la literatura" But because of this termination, you do not need to write, "nosotros estamos" this "...ndonos" termination tells us who is/are doing the action.
- Acercándonos a la Literatura. = Approaching Literature.
