even as a rookie I am finding the use of 'is y are' to be a deficeit in fluidly expressing my thoughts...in other words, does there use abate my understanding of the language; therefore, not precisely convey my meanings??? thank you for any y all responce¡!¡

Hello Howard. You shouldn't have too much trouble with 'is & are' as long as you remember that most of them are contained in the present tense (apart from yo) of the verbs SER & ESTAR: You ARE. He/she IS. We ARE. They ARE. They are also used very frequently in HAY...'There IS' & 'There ARE'. Hope that this is of some help...Jool.
