Hola H en M. "Instituir" as you probably know, is the verb meaning 'To establish'. So I assume that 'Reinstituir' is to 'Re-establish'. Any corrections welcome...Jool.

Creo que más bien sería "restituir". Como muy bien dice Jool, significa "re-establish".

Por ejemplo: "El gobierno quiere restituir el impuesto sobre el patrimonio, suprimido hace 10 años".

Cordobesa, thanks for the sentence. I just learned not only that restituir means re-establish, but that impuesto sobre el patrimonio means estate taxes. - JoyceM, Feb 25, 2012
De nada. But, I'm reading the definition of "estate taxes"...and, according to what I'm reading, it is only applied when a person dies. Is it right? - Cordobesa, Feb 25, 2012
yea - Rey_Mysterio, Feb 26, 2012
Thanks, Hecho_en_Mex, then, I think "estate taxes" and "impuesto sobre el patrimonio" aren't exactly the same :) - Cordobesa, Feb 26, 2012
