Getting used to spanish grammar!

This may be a silly question, but what would you advise for thoroughly getting used to the grammar and word placement of spanish ?

Such as things such as "Piensa en mi corazón" which made/makes no sense to me, with that preposition (although I have come to grips with the fact of it being said that way, lol) Why does en = about ...in that place ? can you give me tips on how to better think about it ? I feel like all things have reason (mostly).

But you know what. Some of the things with the MOST REASON (such as mathematics) are the hardest to grasp, because it's so cut and dry, right or wrong. lol.

for example, in terms of object pronouns, I've just readjusted to how I will literally think about it. Damelo (give me it) but in english, or properly (Give it to me) - reinosubterráneo, Feb 24, 2012
