Do you find it hard to choose when to use sentir or sentirse?

Good one, Kiwi.
Could you please also include sentarse?
I manage to muddle that one too and once in class told everbody I was sitting badly when I thought I was telling them I felt a bit unwell. My teacher nearly fell over laughing but luckily nobody else understood why..
. Henceforth I just say ' Tengo dolor de cabeza..'
That was great Kiwi , colourful and simple but understandable , thank you
a great learning tool aye.
Hi Kiwi, I sometimes find it hard and slip into one or the other without realizing it. A great idea for a write-up on the differences.
Hola Kiwi. A veces, me resulta difícil para decidir cual se debe utilizar y utilizará uno u otro sin darsm cuenta. Una interesante idea para una hoja que explica las diferencias entre los dos.
Perfect...thanks!
annierats Good one, Kiwi.

Annie just looking at sentarse vs sentirse (I'll keep thinking about sentar vs sentarse and get back to you
) I've linked the conjugation charts for sentirse and sentarse below and you'll see that if you familiarize yourself with them the only one that is the same is as you found 'me siento'.
Normally some context and or action/movement should make the meaning clear.
I'm afraid I don't have much more to offer than that except that perhaps grimacing and clutching your head when you say 'me siento mal' will help you to be better understood and will get rid of any confusion about seating arrangements. ![]()
