I like to try cooking Mexican cusine and this phrase comes up alot! Would "¿Que necicita?" be the proper way to say this or is there a better way when it involves cooking?

Hi Zalone. "¿Qué nececita?" means..."What do you need?". I would say: "¿Lo qué hace falta en los ingredientes?" Faltar is the verb: to be lacking, to be wanting, to lack, to miss, to need. Although, I think that coffeelate has the best answers. My motto is 'usually' take the shortest route! The trouble is that, just like English...there are many different ways to give the same answer. Good luck...Jool.

Hi there!

I would say "¿qué necesita(s)? or ¿qué está faltando?'

Like "para hacer esta receta necesitamos", "¿qué nos falta?" - "nos falta preparar el pollo"...

I hope to be helpful smile

Hi! The common phrase you'll hear whenever you're cooking (or watching a cuisine program) is "¿Qué se necesita?" or "¿Qué (ingrediente) hace falta?".

If you're asking someone else you use "¿Qué (ingredientes) necesitas?" or "¿Qué falta?"; you can also use the first one.

"¿Que necicita?":what do you need/desire? Could be but not grammatically correct!
