Quince días estuvo don Quijote en casa muy sosegado.

Does this say for 15 days he was don quijote at home very relaxed.?

or

for 15 days don quijote was in the house very relaxed?

Fifteen days Don Quixote was at home very relaxed . or Don Quixote was at home very relaxed for Fifteen days

Hello chunmatkd. Your sentence actually reads: "Fifteen days he was don quijote at home very calm". If you write it in the following way: "Para quince días Don Quixote estuvo muy relajado en casa", it should read..."For fifteen days Don Quixote was very relaxed at home". Using the verb 'relajar' (to relax) is better than 'sosegar', which means to calm or quieten. Or you could use the reflexive verb, 'relajarse'. Good luck...Jool.

To add to this, I would use Por instead of Para because it describes a time or duration of time. - martha-sd, Feb 20, 2012

Hi! It means Don Quijote was at his home very calm for 15 days.... with no sign of doing anything crazy.
