i'm still not sure when to use bien or bueno what is the difference?

Bueno = good (changes to "buen" before masculine nouns)

Bien = well

Just like in English you must chose which one fits:

1) Have a good day = Que tengas un buen día. (you cannot use "well" here).

2) Hablo español muy bien = I speak Spanish very well. (you cannot use "good" here).

3) ¡Bien hecho! = Well done! (you cannot use "good" here).

4) Buenos días = Good morning (you cannot use "well" here).

Bueno es un adjetivo. Bien es un adverbio:

Adjetivo:

Un hombre bueno, una buena esposa, un buen libro, unos buenos amigos...

Adverbio:

Llegamos bien, estoy bien, no me siento bien, está bien caliente, no se oye bien...
