El Otro Lado
Esta es la primera y última opinión que escribiré en *preguntas; a los propietarios, perdóneme, por favor.*
I understand I am speaking for the minority opinion here for those who are too afraid to write, or who have already left the fold. The ones who were not included in the clique this site had become. The insiders and the outsiders, so to speak. When our opinions were not liked by the leaders, we were privately but sometimes overtly subjected to hurtful scolding or even stern threats of eviction. And Im not talking about bad language, just opinions. Many of us became so hurt and discouraged (because we did confide in each other) we ceased coming even though we found the site itself excellent in every way. This was the ugly underbelly not exposed to you who had the great relationships. This is not a letter of complaint or in any way meant to dispute or contradict the valid and heartfelt compliments and obvious distress of those who valued the administration. It is simply my opinion. A language site should never degenerate into a clique with people fawning over a dear leader or leaders. I have great admiration for the all the previous moderators vast store of knowledge and their great helpfulness for the most part, but think it well that a social language forum should be separate from one which more broadly caters to those who just want accurate answers to their language queries with neutral judgmental content. A deeply sorry farewell to those of you who choose to leave, but I, for one, will be coming back to the site with the feeling of a great burden lifted.

Great post NancyGrace. The more people use "Do not do unto others what you would not have them do unto you" as their number one forum rule, the healthier and helpful the forum will be. Let's be patient and hope SD team will take notice of the feedback and make some adjustment, so their hard work can generate even better fruit for everyone.
