Need a Good Spanish TV Show

I own Hulu Plus and Netflix on my Xbox 360, and I want to learn many new words in spanish -- contextually and naturally. I noticed that Hulu Plus has a bunch of new spanish shows, and was wondering if there was one that has slower-paced dialogue (I am still a beginner). It would also be a bonus if the show was actually interesting. Also, I would like to know if anyone else learned a bunch of words the same way, and if they would recommend it for a vocabulary boost. Good luck answering this question. =)

Best way for vocabulary boost is to read Spanish novels. TV or Movies use limited vocabularies. - JazSpanish, Feb 18, 2012
Try "Destinos" a telenovela from "bbc". - faliron, Feb 18, 2012
Novels are a good idea. It would let me go at my own pace. But limited vocabularies isn't such a bad thing in my case. Like I said, I am still a beginner. - skykar, Feb 18, 2012

I love extr@ en español. It is a Friends like show, hilarious, but uses simple and clearly pronounced Spanish. All 13 episodes are on Youtube. Here you can find the transcripts, but there is really not much need for them.

The same show is also produced in English, French and Germany. It is designed to help language learners without them realizing they are learning.

I programmed my TV remote to use English subtitles. Then, I watch Spanish movies & news. My objective is to improve my understanding of content. I have found this very helpful. Likewise, I watch American movies and use Spanish subtitles.

excellent idea...I prefer novels myself with y without subtitles = exposure repeatedly...estar bien - HowardO, Feb 18, 2012
I also think this is a good idea. Unfortunately I can only do it with movies, I only have access to media through my xbox360 and laptop. - skykar, Feb 18, 2012

For the past weeks, I have been searching more beginner level Spanish shows based on suggestions from other threads, but I have not find anything as enjoyable and comprehensible as Extr@. I am settling with Mi Vida Loca, another Spanish language learning TV show. This one is more focused on learning, but not as engaging as Extr@.

It is very difficult to find suitable audio/visual materials for beginners to bring up my comprehension skills gradually. Spanish movies are still to hard for me to comprehend. Kids cartoons are a bit boring.

Hope collectively, we can find more suitable audio/visual materials for beginners.

Thank you, I will take a look at Mi Vida Loca as well, you do bring up some good points, and I will mark your other answer as best. Thanks for the help, and please let me know of any more good media you cross by. - skykar, Feb 18, 2012

Try movies!! Look for the best directors from Spain, Argentina, México.... that will also help you understand different accents

I just started watching extr@ en español... seems pretty cool. My biggest problem is comprehension, so I hope this will help!

Thanks!
