Can we skip the definite article from a sentence?
Can we say the following Spanish sentence with or without the definite artilce la. montar en bicicleta. or montar en la bicicleta.

Both are gramatically correct but the second one sounds definitely odd and foreign.
Bad Spanish teachers usually teach to put the article everywhere. That's not always correct.
Hi Marlee and welcome to the forum. I would say to skip it. It sounds better. But I am not a native speaker so wait for a better answer.
