Just "sintió". A wise old man once said:

Sentir for what you feel (nouns)

Sentirse for how you feel (adjective)

Although, in English "hot" in "I feel hot" in an adjective; but in Spanish, "calor" is a noun ("heat"). - Goldie_Miel, Feb 16, 2012

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I got it from someone on here months ago. I can't remember who, but I made sure to write down. - Goldie_Miel, Feb 16, 2012

Juán sintió calor y se quitó la chaqueta.

  • Now, you can say, Hoy se sintió mucho calor en la ciudad. But it a different story!

Melissa, I believe it is the first sentence as the second one literally translates to 'juan felt himself hot' instead of 'Juan felt hot'.
