spanish usage for piel or pieles

Question

how do you know when to use piel or pieles for skins in spanish? Such as in "pork skins in small pieces". Also when it is correct to use "trozos" or some other word in spanish for "small".

Hello afayegirl, to my knowledge 'trozos' is never used in Spanish to mean small. If you want to use piel in the plural, then it is obviously pieles, as in, "Pieles de cerdo". The problem is that, this could mean: The hide of a pig. It's probably better to go with the singular, using the words 'small and piece' in the plural...as in: "Pequeños trozos de piel de cerdo".
