Writting basic sentences
Having trouble making these sentences into Spanish. My problem and what teacher warned us about was do not think in íngles and try to write in español. Maybe I am thinking too hard but I have feeling that these are wrong. The verbs in them are the verbs that I need to have in there. I have been given a set verb list to go by. The directions are Verb + 2 pieces of info, who, what, when and where.
- Mi mama abraza a mi antes de viajar.
- Yo trabajo en el cento despues de clase a las trece y trienta.
- Yo escuho a la musica en mi casa
- Jose y yo necesitamos a orar antes de comer
- Matt y Curtis desean fumar en a las cautro y veinti de la tarde
- En son las ocho y trienta de la manana yo ensayo
- Curtis y dom uds nadan en el universidad
- Jason en gastan dinero en Krihste
- Dom habla ingles con amigo en mexico
- Matt miraman papa a trabjao

1.Mi mama abraza a mi antes de viajar.
The correct way of saying this would be "Mi mamá me abraza antes de viajar." or "Mi mamá abrazame antes de viajar."
- Yo trabajo en el cento despues de clase a las trece y trienta.
This sentence looks correct to me, except for two things: One, you can remove yo. The verb form specifies who the subject is and it is not needed unless you are really emphasizing who is working. Second, I think you should use "a" instead of "en'' so it would become "al centro." Después should also be accented.
3.Yo escuho a la musica en mi casa.
This sentence seems to be correct, except that the "a" should not be there.
4.Jose y yo necesitamos a orar antes de comer
The "a" between necesitamos and orar is not needed.
5.Matt y Curtis desean fumar en a las cautro y veinte de la tarde
I am not sure why you have "en a las". If you are talking about the time when they want to smoke, you would say "...fumar a las cuatro y veinti..."
- En son las ocho y trienta de la manana yo ensayo.
This sentence is incorrect. To say "At eight-thirty in the morning," you would say "A las ocho y treinta de la mañana." You do not need "yo" in this sentence either.
7.Curtis y Dom uds nadan en el universidad
I am not sure what you are trying to say here. If the sentence means "Curtis and you all swim at the university." the correct way to say this is "Curtis y ustedes nadan al universidad." What is ''dom"? It seems to be a name, but I have never seen it before.
8.Jason en gastan dinero en Krihste
The first "en" you have here is not needed and is incorrect. "Gastan" should be "gasta" because there is only one person doing the action. "Jason gasta dinero en Krihste."
9.Dom habla ingles con amigo en mexico
I am still not sure what "Dom" is. If it is a name, the sentence only needs one correction (plus a few accents): "Dom habla íngles con su amigo en México."
10.Matt miraman papa a trabjao
"Matt miran su papá al trabajo." - This last one I am not too sure on. If I knew what you were trying to say, I would be better able to help you.
Without knowing the original assignment, makes it harder to fix yours. Your sentences are already in Spanish, but they have mistakes: missing object pronouns, or having superfluous object pronouns, missing some accents, have misspellings. In some cases, it would be helpful if we knew the English.
Mi mamá me abraza a mi antes de viajar. My mother hugs me before traveling.
Yo trabajo en el centro después de (la) clase a las trece y treinta. [ a las tres y media]
Yo escuho a la musica en mi casa. [* escuchar means "to listen to" the 'to' is included so you do not need 'a']
Jose y yo necesitamos orar antes de comer.
Matt y Curtis desean fumar en a las cautro y veinte de la tarde.
En son A las ocho y trienta de la mañana yo ensayo.
Curtis y Dom uds nadan en el universidad.
Jason en gastan dinero en Krihste.
Dom habla inglés con su amigo en México.
Matt mira a su papá en su trabajao.
I am sure that I have made mistakes here, too, so maybe a fluent Spanish-speaker or native speaker can help out.
