I would say "espero que tengas un buen día" however sometimes it's shortened to "que tengas un buen día"
I've seen it as "Que tenga un buen dia." I've used it in Mexico. The response is usually, "igualmente."
Que tengas un buen dia !
How do you say in Spanish To talk to you anything
que tengas un buen dia
Tenga is the formal 3rd person Usted for "you" whereas Tengas is the informal version.
In Mexico, people normally reply with a grunt. jeje
The shortest version I know is: ¡Tenga un buen día!
Always best to take the shortest route.
