What about us?
Hello everyone, I am not exactly sure what is going on here on Spanishdict, but apparently some people are "leaving". It seems Heidi (whose threads were really useful to me) is leaving the site, and suddenly everyone is planning to leave with her. A few days ago, Lazarus also said he would leave with her, although I haven't been here long enough to see him in action, I've heard he's legendary.
My question is, if all the really good Spanish speakers are leaving the website, what will happen to us who are not so good? We rely on the help of all the "expert" Spanish speakers of this website to help us improve, if they all follow Heidi, who will help us Intermediate and beginner folk?
I'm just saying, I know that Heidi was a huge asset to this site, and I'm not sure of the details, I hear she is leaving, and not in good terms, but does that mean everyone else must up and leave? Shouldn't they stay to continue her legacy? This is my opinion, let me know what you think. (I hope I haven't offended anyone).

Sadly some of the best members are leaving the site and will be sorely missed, so what next? Well we can only wait and hope that the site continues to be the best learning site on the web.
I have wondered about the same thing myself. I sense I can help with some, easy things being asked, but that's about it. We need people here who know the language and can help us beginner/intermediate folks with our questions. I want this site to continue as it used to, with or without those who have left. I wish to have back "word of the day" and "picture of the day" soon. Those were good motivations towards practising Spanish writing.
Here is a thread with some opinions on this topic.
All the people who are leaving are unpaid, they gave their time for nothing, often with no thanks from those they helped.
I am sure that if the management prefer to use paid Moderators they will be happy to pay Spanish speakers to do all the work the Heidita, Cogumela et al have done on the site for nothing.
