That sums up it! She has worked harder than anyone in this forum and she has been fair to me even after annoying her repeatedly. I think it is very unfair, so I will support her by removing myself from this forum... for what is worth.

It's always darkest before the dawn.

I am no soothsayer, but I suspect that this crisis will result in something even better coming down the pike. People who are as dedicated as Heidi and Lazarus and the mods who truly participate on this site will show up somewhere else, doing those things which they do so well.

If a person is born to teach, that person will be teaching, even if they have to do it out of a shed with clay tablets.

This is not to say that this isn't devastating - it is.

I am just inserting a flicker of hope into the situation.

Birds of a feather flock together...the mods who are dedicated to this site will not vanish; you will see them somewhere else, most likely working together.

PS - Consider my avatar a "sad face". I am unable to change it at the moment due to technical challenges.

I only know you through your legendary articles on grammar and your superb answers to questions, but I valued those very highly and I was elated when you returned to the site.
