"Y punto."

"Y punto."

Does this mean: "period, or full stop, (as most British people would say), in speech, to emphasize something?

This is the context: "Las mujeres de mi generación son las mejores. Y punto.

"The women of my generation are the best. Period". Is this correct? The humorous piece is by a Colombian writer.

Many thanks.

You can also say: ...no se hable más (del asunto).

Las mujeres de mi generación son las mejores. ¡Y punto! ¡No se hable más!
