You got lucky

You got lucky

Hi / Hola

How would you say "You (informal) got lucky" as in it was a one time thing or don't expect it to happen again, you got lucky. I was thinking... tuviste suerte .. or estuviste suerte .. But I want it to have the same connotation.

Thank you! Laura

The expression is "tener suerte" which is literally "to have luck" therefore one would use the second person (singular) preterit tense of "tener"= "Tuviste suerte"as you previously stated.
