Is the use of "cmc" impolite?
I know there there are some posts on this subject, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
I just read on google that native spanish speakers should use CMC instead of LOL.
I've also read on SD that the use of CMC should be used with discretion--only with people with whom you are close (e.g. family members and close friends).
Would some of our fluent spanish speakers help clarify this?
By the way, SD doesn't allow the use of "all caps." (CMC) in the title.
Thank you.

Impolite?
More than impolite, it's coarse and vulgar.
And using an acronym for saying that is even worse! Just childish.
To top it off, you won't be understood if you use it. Just say "jaja", which is universal.
OK, so I looked up the meaning of CMC. Although the meaning is ultimately the same as LOL, it actually stands for
Casi me ca*o.
So, sure, not exactly something to say in refined company.
LOL!
