Please could someone proof read this sentence.
A friend , who has a property in Spain feels she is being overcharged for her electricity usage and has asked me to translate her letter of complaint, I am fairly happy with most of it but not this sentence (I am not translating word for word but am trying to translate the meaning of her sentences)
This is her sentence:-" I have been told in the past that you estimate usage one month and a correct reading {taken} the next with any adjustments needed, however my bills do not reflect this as you can see with only one credit ever received"
My attempt so far:- "En el pasado me han dicho se estima el consumo de electricidad para un mes y leer el contador con exactitud el mes siguiente, y se ajusta apropiadamente la factura.Sin embargo, las facturas no muestran esto ,Ya que sólo he recibido 1 crédito."

Some suggestions:
En el pasado (to me, this is a weird way of starting a sentence) me han dicho que se estima el consumo de electricidad (para) un mes y leer se lee el contador con exactitud el mes siguiente, y se ajusta apropiadamente la factura."
This is how I'd say:
Me dijeron que el consumo de un mes se estimaba y al siguiente se leía, de forma que se ajustaba la factura. Sin embargo esto no es lo que se ve en mis recibos, que siempre reflejan el mismo importe.
Another way of saying it ( a bit more informal)
Hace algún tiempo me dijeron que el consumo se estimaba un mes y al siguiente se leía el contador, y así se ajustaba la factura. Pero ya ves que mis recibos no reflejan esto; pago todos los meses una cantidad constante.
