Personally, I would translate 'House warming party' as:
Fiesta de estreno de una casa.

Costumbres para la inauguración de una casa
These are customs similar to blessing a new house in Catholic cultures, rather than a house warming party.

I believe I've seen 'inaugurar' used. As in 'inaugurar la casa.'
